WHAT IS SPEED BOOK BLITZ?

  • It’s a fun activity. You chat informally with different people about your favourite book(s), one person at a time.

     

WHEN IS THE EVENT?

  • Thursday, February 19 @ lunch in library

  •  Bring your book or ask us to hold a copy for you. Bring your lunch.


HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • You and another participant each chat about your favourite book for 1 minute.

  • One person then moves one seat over. You both get a different person to chat with! Round-robin style!

     

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

  • Get a sign-up sheet from the library.

     

DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR THIS?

  • No, not really. Just come and enjoy the event!

Monday – Word Wall and Read Aloud

Tuesday – Read Aloud

                  – Announcement of bookmark winners and distribution of bookmarks           

Wednesday – Scrabble game for students and staff in library @ lunch
                         -Read Aloud

Thursday – Speed Book Blitz @ lunch in library

Drop off your books for the book swap starting this Tuesday (Nov. 25)

Receive one ticket for each book you drop off.

If you don’t have any books, you can also pay 25 cents on the day of the book swap.

Book Swap on December 5th!

Drop off your books in the library between 

November 25 – December 3

On FRIDAY, December 5 come to the library @ Lunch to choose your books.

If you don’t have any books to swap, you can also pay 25 cents for a book.  All proceeds will go to the Rebels Food Program.
