Buzzfeed – American media organization with a growing investigative journalism team. Covers global issues
CBC News – daily reporting and investigative journalism from Canada’s public broadcaster. Canadian and international reporting
Globe and Mail – Canadian daily paper that publishes news and investigative reporting. Paywall kicks in.
The Guardian – British newspaper that does reporting and investigative journalism. Major global/international focus. It also publishes a lot of opinion and commentary.
The Intercept – independent investigative journalism organization – global focus
Longform – compiles long-form journalism and nonfiction from a variety of sources. You may need to verify the source; many pieces are opinion/documentary and not journalism
National Post – Canadian daily paper that publishes news and investigative reporting. Somewhat more of a conservative leaning

New York Times – famous, reputable American daily newspaper that publishes news and investigative report. Beware, the site’s paywall will kick in after you view 10 articles
ProPublica – an American independent investigative journalism organization – focussed on U.S. issues, human rights, criminal justice, climate change. More of a liberal leaning, but reliable.
