Re/max Quest for Excellence Scholarship

Criteria

The RE/MAX Quest for Excellence scholarship program is a cash scholarship that recognizes students for their ongoing community contributions and pursuit of leadership. Through this scholarship program, RE/MAX Canada is pleased to offer 40 scholarships of $1,000 each to students across Canada (except for Quebec).

The 2025 Quest for Excellence program will invite eligible students to write and submit an essay based on one of three key themes: charitable community contribution; the vision for a brighter future; and ensuring Canadians have a safe, secure and affordable place to call “home.”

ONLINE by March 6, 2026.

Procedure

To apply for the Quest for Excellence scholarship, eligible students are invited to write and submit an online essay. Write and submit an essay based on one of three key themes:

  1. Charitable community contribution
  2. The vision for a “brighter future,”
  3. Ensuring future generations have a safe, secure, and affordable place to call “home.”

BCGEU Scholarship

Criteria

Scholarships are funded by the dues of BCGEU members. You are eligible if you are related to a current, retired or deceased BCGEU (BC Government Service and Employees Union) member or staff; and are a  student or prospective post-secondary or higher learning student enrolled, registered or planning to attend an eligible educational institution in 2026.

There are also scholarships for Indigenous students. Applicants who are Indigenous may apply for the Indigenous scholarship fund which offers the same value awards listed below. Proof of Indigenous Ancestry is required.

Value

multiple @ $2,500 (full-time students) and $1,500 (part-time students) including Indigenous students.

Due Date

online by midnight Monday, February 15, 2026.

Procedure

Note: There are two components to the applications – Part 1: 2 short personal questions, and Part 2: interview an activist from the labour movement and write a reflection on the interview. This could be written, a video, or in infographic format.
