Div. 6 2017/18

Division 6 worked on a special project in the library during term 2.  As part of the Science curriculum, students have been learning about how motions of Earth and the moon cause observable patterns that affect living and non-living systems.  Now they are using what they have learned to create stop motion animation movies that show how the moon changes and how it affects living and non-living things on Earth.  We are learning the principles of animation (take a picture, make a small change, add speed) and how to use a variety of materials to make our sets and characters.  Students are using iPads and the Lego Movie app.  Here are our movies.  Hope you enjoy them!

I hope you enjoyed our visit with author Shane Peacock. Take a few minutes and turn and talk to someone beside you about the presentation. What did you learn, notice and wonder? What was your favourite part? Next, make a post on the padlet below. I will share it with Mr. Peacock so he can read your reflections.
