requirements, sending transcripts, and important graduation dates and deadlines. A recording of the presentation will be made available for Grade 12 parents afterwards. (Please note that the Grade 12 Parent

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO INFO SESSIONS FOR BURNABY SCHOOLS:
THE CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES EVENT is an opportunity for you to hear from university reps from across the country and learn more about your post-secondary options. It will be a virtual event this year, held on these dates: Sept 27-29 and Oct 2-6. To register go to: https://cuebc.org/for-students/
APPLYING FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY
If you are thinking about applying to college and/or university for next year, then you should know that most post-secondary institutions are hosting virtual information sessions. This is a great way to find out more about the institution, its programs, entrance requirements, and more. You can register for these virtual info sessions by going to the website for each institution, or you can go to: https://www.postsecondarybc.ca/events/
*Note: Most colleges are open for online application on October 1. Colleges operate on a “First Come- First Served” basis, so early application is very important. Applying early means you secure an earlier course registration date in June. Also, some college programs are first-qualified, first-admitted so applying early is crucial. So, don’t delay, apply early! And remember that you’re just applying to the college and to a program (you’re not selecting actual courses yet). Any questions, see your counsellor.
