UBC Sauder School of Business Presentation – Tuesday October 24th

UBC’s Sauder School of Business will be at Moscrop to make a presentation to all grade 12 students interested in studying business in the future. The presentation is on Tuesday, October 24th at lunch time in the library. No sign up is necessary – just come to the library at the start of lunch time.

FIRE FIGHTING TECHNOLOGIES – Certificate Program If you dream of becoming a firefighter, the Fire Fighting Technologies Certificate (FFTC) is a great place to start. Through this program, students receive 12 weeks of theoretical knowledge in the classroom and seven weeks of hands-on live fire training at a state-of-the-art facility in Maple Ridge. For more info:

EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER – Professional Training Program. This program is for you if you have an interest in helping save lives in your community. In this program, you will learn about the fundamentals of emergency medicine to help prepare for further education in the paramedicine field. It will also help jumpstart a career in healthcare. KPU Information Sessions for Grade 11’s and 12’s

KPU Creates is a special 2-hour event for high school students who are interested in writing, communications and design. This event will be held at KPU’s Surrey campus in partnership with the Journalism, Public Relations and Graphic Design programs at KPU. Register online at

SFU’s Virtual Applicant Workshops for High School Applicants

If you are in grade 12 and have applied or are planning to apply to SFU before the January 31st deadline, you are invited to sign up for a virtual applicant workshop. In this workshop, you will learn how to successfully complete your application and get answers to frequently asked questions on topics such as: understanding your SFU Student Centre, self-reporting Grades (BC high school students only), submitting documents, key admission dates and timeline, and getting to know SFU.
