APPLYING FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY
If you are thinking about applying to college and/or university for next year, then you should know that most post-secondary institutions are hosting virtual information sessions. This is a great way to find out more about the institution, its programs, entrance requirements, and more. You can register for these virtual info sessions by going to the website for each institution, or you can go to: https://www.postsecondarybc.ca/events/
*Note: Most colleges are open for online application on October 1. Colleges operate on a “First Come- First Served” basis, so early application is very important. Applying early means you secure an earlier course registration date in June. Also, some college programs are first-qualified, first-admitted so applying early is crucial. So, don’t delay, apply early! And remember that you’re just applying to the college and to a program (you’re not selecting actual courses yet). Any questions, see your counsellor.

B.WELL YOUTH CONFERENCE!
DON’T MISS THE B.WELL YOUTH CONFERENCE
The b.well youth conference was born when there was an idea to plan a conference all about mental health and wellbeing that all started with youth and teens in Burnaby.
Living in a pandemic has been hard, and teens were sharing that they wanted an opportunity to talk about how they were feeling with others and learn how they could support their own mental health.
It is a half-day conference open to all youth 13-21 about mental health with speakers, workshops, webinars, resources and dogs.
It will take place this Saturday, May 29th from 12-4pm. It’s all virtual so you can participate on your phone or computer or anywhere!
