*Course Selection sheets will be due two weeks after the class presentation and are to be handed in to the same teacher/classroom where the presentation was made.

NVIT OPEN HOUSE – March 5 & 6 in Merritt, B.C.

Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (Home of Aboriginal Public Post-Secondary Education in B.C.) is having an Open House for interested students.   This is an opportunity for Grade 12 students to spend 24 hours at NVIT’s Merritt campus and check out life as an NVIT student. UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA – UPDATES

Requirements for September 2015 admission to UVic are available online through the Undergraduate Admissions website at http://uvic.ca/programreq. Program and deadline changes are as follows:

  • New application deadline – February 28, 2015 is the new application deadline for high school students applying to undergraduate programs. For detailed deadline information as well as program-specific document deadlines, visit uvic.ca/deadlines.
  • Self-reporting change – Current grade 12 students MUST self-report their interim/ final grade 11 and 12 marks from February 15 to March 31, 2015 to be considered for admission and grade-based entrance scholarships for September 2015 entry. uvic.ca/selfreporting

UVIC Faculty of Engineering Open House – February 7, 2015.    The Faculty of Engineering will host an open house on Saturday, February 7. Current faculty, students and staff will open the doors to prospective students and help them explore the fields of engineering and computer science through hands-on activities, guest lec­tures and department fairs. EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE & EDUCATION PROGRAM AT CAPILANO UNIVERSITY

INTERESTED IN PURSUING A CAREER IN EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE & EDUCATION?  Capilano University is hosting an Information Session on Tuesday, February 3rd, 7-9pm, at their North Vancouver campus (Cedar building). Justice Institute of B.C. – Open House on February 27, 2015

Grade 12 Students who are applying to SFU

Mark your calendars!  A representative from SFU will be visiting Moscrop on Monday, February 2nd at lunch in the library. This presentation is for all Grade 12 students who have applied to SFU (regardless of faculty).  The next steps in the application process will be discussed:  self-reporting grades, understanding the application checklist, when to anticipate an admissions offer, and a brief overview of scholarships and financial aid.  There will be time for questions at the end.
