Grade 11 & 12 students and parents are invited to the CPA Career Connections | University Fair + Panel Discussion. This event will connect students in grade 11 and 12 with universities throughout the Lower Mainland as well as educate them on different careers in accounting. Both students and parents will have a chance to find out about the different university business program requirements, scholarship opportunities, and what content is covered in these business/accounting programs. INTERESTED IN ATTENDING UNIVERSITY IN THE U.S.?

October 13, 2016:  The Vancouver US University and College Fair.  This is an excellent opportunity for grade 11 and 12 students and parents to hear from representatives from over 80 US College institutions regarding their programs and admission requireme nts.  The Fair will take place at the West Point Grey Academy Gym (4196 West 4th Ave., Vancouver) and will be open to students and their parents between 4:00pm and 5:00pm.  There is no fee for attending this event.  Here is a link to more information about the Fair and a list of attending Colleges: http://www.wpga.ca/vaisfair.

October 15, 2016:  Columbia University Info Session will take place at St. George’s School (4175 W 29th Ave, Vancouver).  Learn about the Columbia community, admissions processes, and financial aid.

 

GRADE 11/12 PARENT NIGHT – October 6 @ 6:45pm

Grade 11 and 12 students and their parents are invited to attend an information evening on Thursday, October 6th at 6:45pm in the Multipurpose Room. Important information regarding graduation requirements and post-secondary admission/options will be discussed.

COLLEGE APPLICATIONS BEGIN SOON – DON’T DELAY!

GRADE 12 STUDENTS:  Have you applied yet for college?  If not, you should know that most colleges are open for online application in October.  In fact, Douglas College and Langara College are open as of October 1, 2016. Colleges operate on a “First Come – First Served” basis so early application is very important.  Applying early means you secure an earlier course registration date in June.  Even if you plan to attend university it is a good idea to apply to one college this fall as a back up to your university application.  Any questions, please see you counsellor.

CANADIAN UNIVERSITIES EVENT – September 29, 2016

Grade 11 and 12 students are invited to attend the 2016 Canadian Universities Event at Burnaby South Secondary (cafeteria) on Thursday, September 29th, 9:00-10:45am.  Representatives from over 50 institutions (including UBC, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, SFU and others) will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.  To attend, Moscrop students should obtain parental permission, inform the school and subject teachers prior to attending the event, and arrange for their own transportation to and from the event.  For more information, see your counsellor.

SFU INFORMATION EVENING 2016

All newly admitted students are invited to an information evening at SFU’s Burnaby campus on Thursday May 26 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.  This is a chance for students to connect with members of the SFU community to learn how to make the most of their university experience.  Parents are also encouraged to attend.

Vancouver Community College (VCC) Info Night – Wednesday, April 20, 4-7pm.

VCC offers 120 programs in the areas of health sciences, culinary arts, design, music, business, hospitality, transportation trades, human services, and university transfer programs.  VCC Info Night is a great chance to speak with department leaders about program specific questions, as well as learn about scholarships, bursaries, and ESL pathways.
