DOUGLAS COLLEGE: Virtual Events

Hey Moscropians! Douglas College has virtual info events happening. For Burnaby, the dates are:

 Burnaby: November 9 (2-5pm) and November 10 (3-6pm)

Students will need to register online to access the PSBC Virtual Event platform, called Easy Virtual Fair.  You can register at anytime (even 10 minutes before their scheduled event).

Students will have access to the platform as soon as they register and they will be able to access the website even after the scheduled events.

Students can explore the different booths to access videos, viewbooks, etc.

On the scheduled event days, students can expect that representatives from the PSBC member schools will be available to chat and/or offer presentations.

Each post-secondary school will have their presentation schedule posted in their booth, if they are offering live presentations.

Douglas will be offering four live presentations throughout each event time.

Students will simply visit the booth they are interested in, go to the “presentation” tab and then click on the “attend” button at the time of the presentation.

This will take them out of the Easy Virtual Fair platform and to the presentation platform that post-secondary school has chosen.  For most schools, Zoom is the presentation platform of choice.

Students can return to Easy Virtual Fair and check out other booths.  They will also have the ability to chat with reps within the platform.  Reps will only be available during the scheduled event times, however students have access to the platform at all times.

There will be a few general events offered that all students are welcome to attend.  The November 14th event is offered on a weekend to accommodate students who are unable to attend in the late afternoon/early evening sessions.

General Event (open to students from all regions): November 14 (12-4pm) and December 2 (3-6pm)

Even though your students can register now and gain access to the website, we ask that you promote your scheduled days as the ideal time for your students to engage with post-secondary reps.

We want to ensure that students have the best experience on the platform therefore we need to balance out attendance.
