BCIT OPEN HOUSE – MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

DOUGLAS COLLEGE ENTRANCE AWARDS

Entrance awards are available to students entering Douglas College directly from high school.  The deadline to submit the online application is April 1, 2016, and the supporting documents must be received at the Douglas College Financial Aid office, room 2740 at the New Westminster campus or Room A1030 at the Coquitlam campus by April 8, 2016.

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO HAS A YOUTH SUMMER PROGRAM

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO’S YOUTH SUMMER PROGRAM (YSP) offers high school students a glimpse into the life of a university student studying medicine or law.  Participants will have access to UofT’s academic and research professionals who lead hands-on academic activities.  The YSP takes place in July and August every year; for more info go to www.ysp.utoronto.ca. ​

SFU PRESENTATION AT MOSCROP – Tuesday, January 26, 2016

Grade 12 students who have applied to SFU are invited to a special presentation by SFU in Moscrop’s library on Tuesday, January 26th at lunch time.  The next steps in the application process will be discussed:  self-reporting grades, understanding the application checklist, and reviewing important dates and the overall admissions timeline.  There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.

UBC’s SAUDER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS – RE-SCHEDULED VISIT TO MOSCROP: Friday, December 4 @ lunch in library.

Interested Grade 11 and 12 students are invited to hear current Sauder students talk about the admissions process, university life and what to expect when pursuing a degree in business at Sauder.  No need to sign up; just come to the library at the start of lunch on Friday, December 4th. 

McGILL UNIVERSITY IS COMING TO MOSCROP TOMORROW!

If you are in Grade 11/12 and thinking about applying to McGill University, you are invited to attend an information session with a McGill advisor tomorrow, Thursday, November 26th @ lunch in the library.  Signing up is not necessary; just show up at the start of lunch hour.

PSI (Post-Secondary Institutions) Info Day is coming soon!

November 26 @ 10:15am – Moscrop is hosting PSI Day – Post Secondary Institutions event.  This is a great opportunity for Grade 11 & 12 students to meet with representatives and get information from most of our local colleges and universities (e.g. SFU, Capilano University, BCIT, Douglas College, Langara College, VCC, etc..)  N0 need to sign up for this event; just attend your period 2 class and it will be escorted down to the Small Gym.

INTERESTED IN STUDYING IN THE U.S. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?

There will be an info session for any students who are thinking about applying  to colleges/universities in the U.S. on Tuesday, December 8th at lunch in the library.  No need to sign up, just come to the library at the start of lunch time.
