BCIT Business & Media Career Exploration Program (CEP) 2020

BCIT School of Business Global Relations, in partnership with the Broadcast and Media Communications would like to invite domestic and international high school students to participate in our ‘Business & Media Career Exploration Program (CEP) 2020’.

Students from your school aged 14 – 17 years old are welcome to join this 2 week program.

This program will be delivered at BCIT Burnaby campus
(3700 Willingdon Avenue).

Program Includes

·       Career suitability testing and individual coaching

·       Interactive career labs exploring BCIT’s School of Business programs, including Marketing, Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Financial Management, Logistics, International Business, Digital Arts, Broadcast and Media Communications

·       Interaction with industry professionals

·       International cuisine lunches 

·       Optional weekend sightseeing packages

2020 intake dates

·       Mon, June 29th 2020 – Fri, July 10th 2020

·       Mon, August 10th 2020 – Fri, August 21st 2020

*Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM*

UK Law Fair @ WPGA

If you are interested in studying law, you should know about this law event which West Point Grey Academy is hosting  on Wednesday, March 4th from 4:00-6:00 PM.

The event is being facilitated by a number of highly ranked law schools in the UK and is intended for students in grades 10-12 who are interested in law school, with the focus being on studying law in the UK.

The evening will include a presentation on the in’s and out’s of law school, studying law in the UK, and bringing a UK law degree back to practice in Canada.

The second part will include a case study where students will work with a law academic on a specific legal case. The evening will end with a small law school fair in which parents are also invited to attend.

McGill Summer Academy 2020

Following the great success of our previous Summer Academies, we are happy to announce the dates for McGill Summer Academy 2020!
 
From July 5-18 and July 19-August 1, students in grades 10 and 11 from across the world will have the opportunity to participate in classes, workshops, and social activities introducing them to university life, McGill, and Montréal – all while being hosted in a McGill Residence!
  
The application deadline is February 6, 2020.

Invitation to SFU Faculty of Environment Dean’s Lecture Series for Teachers, Parents and Students

 

Hello,

The Dean from the Faculty of Environment at SFU is hosting an exciting lecture series over the next two months that some of your students, parents and teachers might like to attend.  The topics are both relevant and entertaining, and the evenings will be very informative. 

The series features researchers and practitioners who explore some of the pressing social and ecological challenges we face.  Each talk shares current research and includes perspectives from community members on applying this knowledge to local collaborations and initiatives to motivate change at individual, organizational and political levels. 

The talks take place at SFU Harbour Centre, 515 West Hastings in Room 1900 and start at 7:00 pm.  Attendance is free and open to everyone.
