Our French book fair will be on the same days as the Parent-Teacher meetings.
Wed. Sept. 19th & Thurs. Sept.20th 12-5 pm
There will be an excellent selection of books to develop your child’s French Language library at home! Hope to see you there!
Thank you to all the students and their families who came to the Scholastic Book Fair. It was a great success, so much so that Ms. Higgins will be able to purchase new books with the funds that we raised. As they say, everybody wins: families have new books for their home and the library has new books for the students! The winner of the Family Draw prize was a student from Mrs. Clutton’s class. Both Mrs. Clutton and the student won $25.00 worth of books. A big thank you to Mrs.Michelle Sherwood and her crew of volunteers who devoted their time to run the book fair. Also, thanks to the library monitors from Division 3 who volunteered to help at lunchtime and after school.
This year’s Festival du Livre was a big success. Merci to the students and their families who attended this event to purchase French books and, in turn, to raise funds for the school library. The winner of the Family draw door prize was a grade one student from Ms.Papapanagiotou’s class. Both the student and teacher each won $25.00 worth of books! Un gros Merci to Michelle Sherwood, PAC Book Fair chairperson and her group of parent volunteers. Without you, this event could not happen!
Our annual Festival du Livre / French Book Fair is on the same days as the Parent In-take meetings. This is your opportunity to develop a French language library in your home for your child in French Immersion. There will be a fabulous selection of books. The book fair will be held in the school library from 12 -1 pm and 2 – 5 pm both days, Tuesday , Sept.22 and Wednesday, Sept.23. Hope to see you there!
If you are interested in helping at the book fair, please contact Michelle Sherwood, Book Fair co-ordinator. Her contact information is on the blue sheet that has been sent home with your child.
Thank you to all the students and families who attended our Scholastic Book Fair at the end of November. Our sales were an all-time high which has allowed us to take our profits as books and cash. The winner of the Family/Teacher Book Prize Draw was Evan. He and his teacher, Mrs. Graham each won $25.00 worth of books. An extra-special big Thanks to the parents and library monitors who volunteered at the book fair. Without your assistance, the book fair would not happen!
Wed. Sept 18 & Thurs.Sept.19
12-1 pm & 2-5 pm
Reminder to all French Immersion families that our one and only French book fair is this week. Please come and see the great offerings that Scholastic has to offer. Their selection caters to all reading levels, needs, and interests. PAC organizes this book fair for the benefit of the students and families at Seaforth with the proceeds going to the school Library. Hope to see you there!
Thanks to the families who supported the book fair in April. It was the most successful book fair ever. We were able to purchase new books with the funds that we raised. Congratulations to Erin who won the $25.00 Door Prize and to her teacher, Mrs. Bisceglia who also won the Teacher’s prize. Also, a big ‘Thank You’ to the parents, former students, and library monitors for organizing and operating the book fair. At this time, I would like to thank Mrs. Birdie Chan for being the Book Fair Chairperson for the past few years and is stepping down from this position.
Thank you to all the students and families who supported the Book Fair in late November. We had record sales which helps me obtain new and exciting books for the students at Seaforth! The winners of the Family Event door prize were Lucas Mankoo and his Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Tazumi. They each got $25.00 in books. Many Thanks to the Book Fair organizer, Mrs. Birdie Chan and her contingent of parent-volunteers. Also Thanks to the Library Monitors (and a few former ones now at Mountain) for their assistance at the Breakfast with Books and the Book Fair. This was the first time we had a morning event, Breakfast with Books which was especially organized for parents who wanted to shop before going off to work. It ended up being a lovely event!
A reminder to all students and their families that there will be a Scholastic Book Fair on Wednesday, Nov.28th and Thursday, Nov. 29th in the School Library. The book fair will be held from 12-1 pm and 3-6 pm on Wednesday and 12-1 pm and 3 -5 pm on Thursday. A family event, Breakfast with Books will be held Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 8-9 am. This is an opportunity for any parents with or without their children to come and shop before heading off to work. We’ll be serving coffee to the parents and selling muffins and juice from the kitchen adjacent to the library. If you wish to attend this event, please RSVP by email to Birdie Chan or myself (email@example.com). Families are reminded they must remain in the hallway with their food and drinks, and not go into to the book fair with them. We hope you’ll support this major fundraiser for the school library.
