Hey Grade 11's!

Are you thinking of applying to the US for University?

If so, you should be thinking about writing your SAT's this upcoming Spring 2012!

Remember, US University Applications are Due December 31st of your Grade 12 Year, meaning that you MUST have your SAT scores available by that time to submit to Universities.

Hey Grads!

Just a reminder that if you are thinking of applying to UBC for September 2012, that the deadline is January 31st.

That includes: your Application, any Supplemental Applications, References, etc....

Make sure not to wait till the last minute to apply!!

Attention all Burnaby South Students!

Do you and your friends have lots of photos of you guys hanging out, and having a good time? Would you like the opportunity to have your very own page in the Yearbook that's dedicated just to you and your friends? WELL...this year you have the opportunity to purchase a "Friendship Page" in this year's Yearbook!

Prices are as follows, and you can include as many pictures as you'd like on your page:

  • 2-Page Spread = $350
  • 1-Page Spread = $200
  • 1/2-Page Spread = $150

Deadline to purchase your page is: January 20th, 2012

Hey Grads!

Ms. Wong has extended the deadline for your Grad Baby Photo's to Friday, December 16th.

Please make sure to email your baby pics to Ms. Wong (Sharon.Wong@sd41.bc.ca) no later than the 16th if you want your baby pic in this year's Yearbook!

ALSO! Southpoint is taking orders for Grad Wear also until December 16th.  If you want to make sure you get your grad wear, go down to Southpoint to put your order in.

  • Hoodies are $50 and they come in black with gold printing or white with black printing

Burnaby South is happy to be holding a Post-Secondary Information Afternoon on Friday, November 25th from 1pm to 3pm in the Cafeteria at Burnaby South.

All students in Grades 10 to 12, are invited to come down and visit with the Post-Secondary Schools, to gather information and ask any questions you may have.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S.  BC has organized a Post-Secondary Education Fair, on Saturday, December 3rd, from 9:30am to 2:30pm at the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Social Service Centre in Vancouver.

They will be providing both Seminars (in English, with Chinese Translation...which will be especially helpful for Chinese-Speaking Families) and Booth Exhibitions for participants.
