The Library Staff hopes everyone had a wonderful summer. We sure did! One of us traveled afar whereas the rest enjoyed the beautiful BC sunshine. Of course, we also read whenever the great weather didn’t distract us. Here’s just a few of our favourite summer reads:

Library overdue notices were distributed during your Period 1 classes so please ask your teacher or check with the library if you suspect you should have received one. Have a library book but didn’t get a notice? Bring it back (it makes for good karma).

Eight-year-old Ruby Jean Sharp, born with Down syndrome, is placed in New Westminster’s Woodlands School after the death of her care-giving grandmother. She learns to survive every kind of abuse before being placed in a program designed to help her live outside the institution.
