Welcome to Career Life Connections!

This is the official web page for Burnaby North Career Life Connections 11 & 12.

Career Life Connections (CLC) 11&12 is intended to support and guide students for a successful transition to life after secondary school.  In this course, students learn how to recognize and cultivate relevant opportunities and supportive relationships, and continually re-evaluate and build on their plans that they began in Career Life Education 10.  Emphasis in CLC 11&12 is put on students becoming self-aware life-long learners who understand that their interests may develop and change over time, but that being continually aware of one’s own self-identity will shape their career-life choices.

CLC 11&12 ARE MANDATORY COURSES FOR GRADUATION!  STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE 2 CREDITS FOR COMPLETING EACH COURSE (4 CREDITS IN TOTAL).  STUDENTS MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE  COURSE WORK TO PASS BOTH CLC 11 AND CLC 12 IN ORDER TO GRADUATE.

CLC 11&12 are off-timetable courses that will require students to at complete lessons and assignments at home with support available from CLC teachers in school.  CLC 11&12 will culminate in a portfolio project towards the end of the grade 12 year.
