Thirteen year old Henry’s life kind of sucks. Something horrible has happened and now he and his father have to move to Vancouver. He’s fat, he’s dorky, and he has to see a therapist. Life seems to be as bleak as it can get but soon things change for Henry without him having to change.

Join Vikings Talk at lunch in the library on Wednesday, January 15th when we discuss the book, The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen by Susin Nielsen. Bring your lunch and meet us in the magazine section. No spoilers and everyone is welcome!

Vikings Talk – I, Witness

If you witness a violent crime and know who did it – would you tell? When does the fear of being labelled a rat overtake your instincts to do what’s right?

Boone witnesses such a crime and is on the fence of whether to tell or ignore what’s going on around him in the graphic novel, I, Witness by Norah McClintock.

Join Vikings Talk on Wednesday, December 4th at lunch when we discuss this book and it’s ideas. We meet in the magazine section and don’t forget to bring your lunch. Everyone is welcome!
