Eric Walters Author Visit

In September, Seaforth was paid a visit by the well known Canadian author, Eric Walters. Eric Walters is the author of more than 50 books, including the series Camp X, and the book ‘Run’, and has won over 25 awards for his novels. He came to share and promote his books, including ‘Alexandria in Africa’ and ‘Catboy’, through an oral and PowerPoint presentation. Talking about his inspirations and his writing methods, he was much admired by the grade 6s and 7s. At the end of the session, Mr. Walters gladly signed any copies of his books the students had with them. Our thanks to Ms.Higgins for organizing this event and to the PAC for funding it. We hope that we can have the opportunity to have other visits by Canadian authors.                                                              By Katherine Grimmer & Emily Gray
