Vikings Read, now in its THIRTEENTH year, is Burnaby North’s pioneering reading program and is one of the school’s signature programs. Students are encouraged to read as many of the nominated titles as possible and vote for the book they think every Burnaby North Viking should read before graduating. Titles are varied by genre and reading level and spark much debate among staff and students. This event is promoted through posters, bookmarks, author visits, book talks, and, of course, word of mouth!
