  • Shelvers & Helpers work before school, at lunch or after school on assigned days to ClubLogoSmallkeep the library organized and tidy.
  • Circulation Desk Monitors ensure the efficient circulation of library materials
  • Book Reviewers/Bloggers help to promote books and Library events by writing posts for the library blog, writing book reviews, or making new shelf talkers
  • Vikings Read members promote the Vikings Read selections and hold book club discussions for each of the titles
  • Makerspace Leaders help to plan and teach Makerspace Workshops, keep the Makerspace clean & tidy, and help Makers troubleshoot their projects
  • Decorators are students with an artistic flair who decorate the library, organise displays, and promote library events

Flex Day Makerspace Christmas Craft Workshop

Join us in the Library Makerspace during the flex block on Tuesday, November 27th and learn to make a holiday craft. You can choose to make a card, or start to learn to crochet to make a holiday ornament. You may need to come back for more than one session to complete your craft. Fortunately, the Makerspace is open at lunch and after school for you! You can see some examples of the types of things you can make at the top of this post. If you’re planning on coming, we’d appreciate it if you’d email Ms Gladwin at deidre.gladwin@burnabyschools.ca or come by the library to sign up ahead of time as it helps us to plan for supplies (you can still come if you don’t sign up, but it helps us plan).
