Winter Olympics 2026–Resources & Live Shows

The Library is pleased to present viewings of the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics for the duration of the Games.   We’ll have shows in two locations.

Library Classroom B (closest to the CircDesk)

  • When?  During classes AND Tutorials.
  • Who?  Registered classes and free block students only during classes.  Regular rules apply for Tutorial visits.
  • What? Whatever sport is available live at the time with closed captions.  Sound may be available depending on the classes/activities booked in the Library.

Library Lounge (in front of the main gate)

  • When? All day
  • Who? Anyone passing by.  Only free block students can stay and watch during class time.  Have your study card ready!
  • What? Whatever sport is available live at the time with closed captions (may be a different sport than the other TV).  No sound during class time.  Sound may be available outside of class time.

We have also put together a book display (on your right just past the plants as you enter) of books about winter Olympic sports, famous Canadian and BC Olympians and athletes, and other sport-related issues.

For our complete list of resources, see the Winter Olympic Games Collection.

If you want a quick intro to most of the sports at this year’s Games, check out this video from the King5 TV channel in Seattle.
