Some examples of activities and projects that we may do throughout the year include: planning and presenting an obstacle course, writing mini-scenarios for classmates to reenact and solve, designing  a web page for a force of nature (like tornadoes or earthquakes) or creating your very own urban legend.

Some themes that may be covered are:

  • Life in and around the home
  • Food and nutrition; grocery shopping
  • Health and wellness

As an honours class, we will also do a variety of enrichment activities including participating in the Concours d’art oratoire as well as studying Les Trois Mousquetaires by Alexandre Dumas.

Benefits of learning French

Do you know that 40% of English vocabulary has derived from French and found in English in areas, like government, law, art, literature, cinema, cuisine, and so on? It is estimated that English speakers who have never studied French already know 15,000 French words. That means you do not need to start from scratch.

Do not miss your opportunity!
