Be Kind Be Calm Be Safe

Posted on March 29, 2020May 18, 2020

Hi Everyone,

I would say we are in uncharted territory these days. While there are a significant number of resources out there as well as tons of tools being shared, sometimes the abundance is overwhelming. Taking a step back to take a breath may allow a clearer picture of where we might be headed with this ‘Continuity of Learning’. There are many things that we don’t know at this point in time.

What I know for sure:

  • together is better than being alone
  • connectedness with students and families is what we do best
  • resilience doesn’t happen overnight (takes a whole lot of bravery to try new things)
  • our team is here to help with simple tools, platforms and learning support

I’m reminded of a couple of things: Connections and relationships are important and so is ‘physical distancing’. This is from Peter Reynolds (@peterhreynolds) who graciously gave permission to share this image. You’ll also find his YouTube channel very interesting especially as he is sharing how to draw.

Here’s another one with a Canadian lens from Kristen Wiens (@kwiens62). Got to love that hockey stick.
