Mandarin 12

This course is intended for students who have prerequisite of Mandarin 11 or equivalent. In this course, students will be involved in more advanced language learning. Besides textbook, they will have opportunity to read authentic newspaper articles, have oral discussions on real life issues such as environmental issues, generation gap, cultural differences. They are expected to be able to write notes, emails, letters, and compositions in this course.

 

Culture is considered an integral part of the language study and will be introduced in the form of group projects. Marks are accumulated through chapter tests, in-class task, listening and oral test, dictation, group/ individual projects and presentation, and drama.
