Japanese 9

Japanese 9 is an introductory class to the Japanese language and culture.   It is expected that by the end of this course students will:

• Be able to express basic greetings
• Be able to introduce themselves and their family members
• Be able to use basic adjectives and verbs to describe everyday activities
• Learn basic vocabulary and grammatical structures
• Participate in oral and listening activities on basic topics
• Be able to read and write both hiragana and katakana alphabets
• Be able to read and write about 30 kanji (Chinese characters)
