Once you have set up the equipment from your green screen portable kit, here are some options for you to consider.

Lighting: even lighting is the key. Try not to have one side or edge brighter than the other. If you are using lighting stands, keep them closer to the screen and people are situated in front. This will alleviate shadows created by the lighting source.
Placement of people in front of the screen – try not to have students stand against the screen. This will create a shadow on the screen that is difficult to remove. A usual rule might be to have them extend their arm as the distance marker from the screen. If you are using additional lighting stands, place them close to the screen, then have people in front (to account for shadows from the lightning).
