There a couple ways to access the coding aspects of Minecraft Education. In View Library > How to Play > Additional Tutorials > Code Builder Tutorial
Within the game, press C to open the code editor.
You will be prompted to select an editor –> Microsoft MakeCode 
There are a selection of tutorials that guide learners through coding concepts.
