Career Life Connection 11 (2022-2023)

Career Life Connections 11 (CLC 11) is a two credit course required by the BC Ministry of Education for Graduation. This is a non-enrolling course which means students are responsible for participating in mandatory sessions, check-ins and completing lessons and assignments at home on Teams with support avaialble from CLC teachers at school. Students will gain insight and knowledge for their transition into post-secondary, the work force and their personal life journey. This course will also prepare students for Career Life Connections 12 and the Graduation Project.

Online assignments will be posted to Office365 Teams. Please see the Teams Tab for information on how to access and use Teams.


CLC 11 Session Schedule

Attendance at sessions are mandatory. Sessions this year will be held in-person at MJF Theatre during collaboration times on Fridays. During the sessions, information regarding CLC requirements and workshops on various topics will be presented. Schedules for each session will be posted 1-2 weeks prior. Please ensure you check Teams and the CLC 11 Blog for updates. 

Session #1 – Introduction Meeting: Friday, October 7th, 2022 at 8:40 am in the MJF Theatre. All Grade 11 students are expected to attend. If you are an international student and NOT graduating with Burnaby South, you will not be required to attend. 

Session #1 Introduction Meeting Make-up: Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 at 11:55 am – 12:25 pm in the MPR (Multipurpose Room). Please bring your lunch.

Session #2 Networking: Friday, December 2nd, 2022 at at 8:40 am in the MJF Theatre. 

Session #3 Student Success: Friday, January 12, 2023 at at 8:30 am in the MJF Theatre with Ms. Fenn.

CLC 12 Presentations: Starting Feb 6th, all grade 11s are invited to watch the Grade 12 students present their Graduation Projects. Please see the schedule/sign-up sheets posted outside C103.

Please note, assignments can be directly typed into the Office365 Teams webpage. If you need to hand in additional documents for any of the assignments, click on “Add work” and upload the document. Remember to click “Turn-In” to submit your assignments!
