Mother’s Day (Yes this is still happening…)

Mother’s Day is quickly coming up this Sunday, May 10, 2020.  With all of the extra work moms are doing right now, it is VERY important that we don’t forget about them!  Since most of us are unable to go out and purchase a gift right now, it would be equally thoughtful to create something homemade.

To begin, a little bit of reading inspiration from Storytime Brightly (Are You My Mother, by PD Eastman)  and Epic Books, which has a large collection of story books and craft books to celebrate Mother’s Day.  Adrienne Gear also has a lesson for Mother’s Day with an accompanying writing activity based on Anthony Browne’s My Mom.

Then you can spend some time creating something for mom.  There are a lot of ideas out there, including a list of virtual activities complied by WeAreTeachers.com and drawings from Art for Kids Hub  (supermom  and the Mother’s Day card were my favourite drawings, but there is a huge selection to choose from).

So now you have no excuses! Go ahead and make something for your Mama!
