Summer Reading Programs at Burnaby Public Libraries

Even though the school library is closing for the summer holiday, the Burnaby Public Library runs several programs during the summer. Click ‘Continue reading’ to learn more about three that might be of interest to Seaforth students (including links to the BPL site and registration dates).

1. The Summer Reading Club for elementary students 

  • Registration starts Friday, June 14 and continues until the middle of July.
  • No worries if you register late–you can still participate.
  • Participation is free to all.

2. The Teen Summer Reading Club for teens entering Grades 8 to 12 in September

  • The TSRC lasts 8 weeks.
  • Registration starts on Friday, June 14 and continues until August 14.
  • Join anytime throughout the summer and receive your first weekly reading card.
  • Participation is free to all.

3. And Julia’s Studio, a series of creative workshops for teens.

  • Registration opens on Friday, June 14th.
  • You can sign up on the website for one, some, or all five workshops.
