Because St. Patrick’s Day falls during Spring Break, this week students will hear stories about anything and everything Irish! The Irish have a rich tradition of being excellent storytellers and writers. Kindergarteners and Grade ones will hear Clever Tom and the Leprechaun by Linda Shute. Other primary classes will hear Fin M’Coul, the giant of Knockmany Hill , an Irish legend retold by Tomie DePaola or The Leprechaun in the Basement by Kathy Tucker . Intermediate classes will be shown popular and current children’s novels written by Irish authors.
