Michael Kusugak, Storyteller

michaelkusugakOn Friday, February 27, Seaforth School was very fortunate to have Inuit storyteller, Michael Kusugak come to  talk to Divisions 7 to 10. This presentation was a direct tie-in to the classes studying the Inuit in Social Studies and it was the final culmination of  reading Inuit legends and stories during the classes’ library classes. Michael is a master storyteller who gave insight into Inuit culture and life from his expressive and humourous stories. He also showed the students’ some cat’s cradle with string and showed them his published works. Students were most impressed that Michael has a good friend named Robert Munsch! Students loved his stories and were a very appreciative audience! For more information go to www.michaelkusugak.com
