I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! This week in the library, I’ll be reading Splat says Thank You! by Robert Scotton to the lower primary classes as a finale to Thanksgiving. The upper primary classes will learn about non-fiction and the Dewey Decimal system by doing a ‘non-fiction walk’ through the stacks with me. I’ll be highlighting some of the subjects they might be interested in. Intermediate students will also learn about the Dewey Decimal System by seeing a power point presentation. It’s important for students to learn about how non-fiction is organized so they can locate books not only in the Seaforth library but also other libraries such as the Burnaby Public Library.
