How to Play at Home

If you’re in an apartment building and don’t want to disturb your neighbours while practicing, here are some ways to tackle that!

One note! Don’t practice first thing in the morning or late at night, your neighbours won’t appreciate that! Practicing in the middle of the day should be just fine and your neighbours may even come and compliment you!

  1. For brass players! Using an empty and clean water bottle, hold the bottle just inside the bell. Don’t try to force it and you will have to hold it the entire time or it will fall out. This creates a makeshift mute! Mutes change the sound of brass instruments and this one will help to quiet the sound.
