Pre-Calculus 12

Overview

  • Prerequisite: Pre-Calculus 11

Pre-Calculus 12 is an abstract, academic, and highly rigorous course. It is a pre-calculus course designed to prepare students for first-year university mathematics. This is a course for students who will study Calculus in a post-secondary institution. Students who achieve less than 72% in Pre-Calculus 11 are strongly recommended to consider their career plans carefully, and may be encouraged not to take this course

  • Quadratics
  • Sequences and Series
  • Transformations of graphs
  • Exponential and logarithmic functions
  • Polynomial factoring
  • Radical and rational functions
  • Equations and identities

What type of student enjoys and is successful in this course?
Students will need to attend regularly and ask for help when unsure about mathematical concepts. Students who complete all in-class and homework assignments will find success in this course.
