To qualify for Grades 10, 11 & 12, students MUST be taking 8 Courses to qualify for Principal's List, Honour Roll with Distinction & Honour Roll, and the calculation will be based on the cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of all of your courses.
In Grade 12, students must also have a full 8 Courses to qualify, and have been at Burnaby South for your Grade 11 and Grade 12 school year.
- You can either take 8 Courses, or 7 Courses + 80Hour Work Experience as both count's as you being a full-time student. Taking 7 courses + 30Hour Work Experience does NOT count as a full-time student.
* NOTE: You MUST pass all of your courses to qualify
Principal's Honour Roll --> GPA 4.0
Honour Roll with Distinction --> GPA 3.5 to 3.99
Honour Roll --> GPA 3.0 to 3.49
Honour Cord (for Grade 12's at School Leaving Ceremony) --> Students on the Principal's List or Honour Roll with Distinction every Term in your Grade 11 year at Burnaby South & Term 1 & 2 of Grade 12 at Burnaby South.

- B = 3.0
- C+ = 2.5
- C = 2.0
