Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at the University of Toronto is intended to recognize international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school.
Eligibility Criteria:
- an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit)
- an original and creative thinker committed to school and community
- a high achiever in academic and creative pursuits
- enthusiastic about learning and intellectual exploration
- have demonstrated strong leadership skills
- currently in their final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2019
- intending to begin university in the upcoming academic year (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2020 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)

TD scholarship for community leadership (up to $70,000)
We’re interested in hearing from students who have demonstrated consistent and outstanding dedication to solving a community problem or making their community a better place. For example, you may be cleaning up the environment, promoting social justice, or fighting child poverty. Check out what some of the past scholarship recipients have done to improve their community.
We select from a pool of up to 80 finalists to interview with regional selection panels, and from there, at least two scholarship recipients are chosen from each of the five regions
TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are open to students across Canada who:
- Have demonstrated community leadership
- Are in the final year of high school
- Have a minimum overall grade average of 75% in their most recently completed school year
Each scholarship is valued at up to $70,000 and includes
- Up to $10,000 for tuition per year
- $7,500 a year toward living expenses (to a maximum of 4yrs)
