BURNABY ONLINE AUGUST COMPLETION

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3rd: BCIT CIVIL ENGINEERING PRESENTATION

What is Civil Engineering? What are the career opportunities?

BCIT Civil Engineering Faculty and Civil Engineer, Phyllis Chong, MASc, PEng, will do a short presentation about the program and share possible career paths for civil engineers and technologists, followed by an open Q&A.

The highly regarded, full-time BCIT Civil Engineering degree program provides a path that allows students to earn dual credentials. All students who successfully complete the first two years of the program receive a Diploma in Civil Engineering, while students who meet the continuation requirements and successfully complete the entire four-year program also earn a nationally-accredited Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering. These credentials prepare graduates for professional practice in this popular and diverse field as either civil technologists or as civil engineers, and also provide a path to further studies.

We are accepting applications for the September 2021 intake until April 15, 2021.

UBC ENGINEERING PHYSICS PROGRAM INFO SESSION: Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021

On behalf of the UBC Engineering Physics Program, you and your parents are invited to attend an online information session on the evening of Tuesday, February 23rd, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Engineering Physics is a broad engineering degree with extra emphasis on physics and math.

In addition to core engineering skills (mechanical, electrical, software), engineering physicists are equipped with a deep understanding of fundamental science and analytical methods to tackle challenges at the forefront of any field, from biotechnology and medicine to quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and aerospace.

We believe our program, one of the most rigorous and challenging at the undergraduate level, will be of interest to your strongest math and science students, especially those who want to pursue careers in research, invention, and entrepreneurship.

We kindly ask that anyone who is interested please register for the event at the link directly below.

We will email registrants with a Zoom link on the morning of the event (Feb 23rd).

Space is limited, though we will post a recording of the session on the event website after the event.
