Ms. Elliott – Learning Support Services Teacher & PEP Case-Manager
Hello! I am the case-manager and primary contact for the Burnaby South Secondary Pre-Employment Program. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development & Family Studies from Nipissing University, as well as my Bachelor of Education. I also have a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College. I am currently working towards my Master of Educational in Imaginative Leadership K-12 at SFU. I have been teaching for 8 years, mostly in elementary school settings, but have a lot of experience teaching various subjects and grades with students of all abilities. I have previous taught in the Surrey School District, the Halton School Board in Ontario, as well as abroad in primary schools in London, England, UK. I have also worked in childcare centres as an ECE and summer camps as a Program Coordinator. I am passionate about the arts, and love to incorporate it in my teaching as much as possible. Creating positive relationships is a priority in my teaching practice, and feel that real learning happens once students feel the have a safe space to explore their curiosity.
