National School Library Day was this week on Monday, October 22nd. It’s a day to celebrate the importance of school libraries in making students literate and lifelong learners. We are very fortunate in Burnaby to have ‘ the cadillac’ of library programs in the province. Seaforth participated in the provincial-wide DEAR Challenge organized by the BC Teacher-Librarians’ Association. DEAR – Drop everything and read – was done after the music listening program. Students read for a certain amount of time as determined by their teachers.
