Top of the morning! Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day! Be sure to wear green! Did you know Ireland has produced some of the most famous writers of English Literature? They haven’t done too shabbily at writing KidLit either. Some of the most popular authors in our library collection are Irish: Eoin Colfer, Derek Landy, Michael Scott, Kate Thompson, and Siobhan Dowd. This week I have been reading the Primary classes Finn McCool and the Great Fish a retelling of a folktale about the Irish giant who is granted the gift of wisdom. Kindergarten students will hear the story, Fin M’Coul, The Giant of Knockmany Hill by Tomie De Paola.
