The Access Program at Burnaby Mountain Secondary School is designed to support the education of students with complex learning needs. As part of the Access Program, students are supported to work on academic, social, communication, vocational, and life-skills development within the school and the local community. Students attend inclusive elective classes with their peers, such as Home Economics, Technology Education, Dance, Drama, Physical Education, Art, Numeracy, and Introduction to Business Education based on their interests and learning needs. Students’ learning outcomes are based on their Individual Education Plans, created by the family, support network, teacher, and student whenever possible.
