KPU (Kwantlen Polytechnic University) OPEN HOUSE – March 5, 2016

KPU HIGH SCHOOL DISCOVERY DAY – February 19, 2016

Grade 11 and 12 students are invited to spend the February 19th Pro-D day at the KPU (Kwantlen Polytechnic University) campus in Surrey, 10am-2:30pm.  Students can attend a university arts or business class, participate in a campus scavenger hunt, ask questions during a panel discussion, win prizes and more!  For more information or to register go to:  connect.kpu.ca/discoveryday. ​

Writing and Multimedia Contest – Anxiety BC

If you are between the ages of 17 – 29, and you are a writer, poet, or multimedia artist who has something to say about anxiety, you should consider entering AnxietyBC’s 2016 Writing & Multimedia Contest.  Winners will receive up to $500 and have their work published on AnxietyBC’s website and social media channels. DOUGLAS COLLEGE ENTRANCE AWARDS

Entrance awards are available to students entering Douglas College directly from high school.  The deadline to submit the online application is April 1, 2016, and the supporting documents must be received at the Douglas College Financial Aid office, room 2740 at the New Westminster campus or Room A1030 at the Coquitlam campus by April 8, 2016.

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO HAS A YOUTH SUMMER PROGRAM

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO’S YOUTH SUMMER PROGRAM (YSP) offers high school students a glimpse into the life of a university student studying medicine or law.  Participants will have access to UofT’s academic and research professionals who lead hands-on academic activities.  The YSP takes place in July and August every year; for more info go to www.ysp.utoronto.ca. ​

SFU PRESENTATION AT MOSCROP – Tuesday, January 26, 2016

Grade 12 students who have applied to SFU are invited to a special presentation by SFU in Moscrop’s library on Tuesday, January 26th at lunch time.  The next steps in the application process will be discussed:  self-reporting grades, understanding the application checklist, and reviewing important dates and the overall admissions timeline.  There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
