Our school is pleased to be able to offer 2 choirs; the Intermediate choir, and the Primary choir.
PRIMARY CHOIR:
Welcome to Marlborough’s Primary Choir. This extra curricular choir is made up of students in Grades 2 and 3 and rehearsals are held every Wednesday at 12:15 in the Band room in West building. The choir is led and accompanied by both Mrs. Winter and Ms. Hicks.
INTERMEDIATE CHOIR:
Welcome to our École Marlborough Intermediate choir. The extra-curricular choir is made up of students in Grades 4-7 and meets during lunch on Thursdays. Led by Mrs. Kuban and Ms. Hicks. Over the past 20 years, the choir has greatly enhanced major events at Marlborough by their outstanding performances at our Remembrance Day assembly, Volunteer Tea, Christmas Pancake Breakfast, Christmas assembly, Carnaval, Spring assembly and Graduation ceremony. The choir has also been selected to perform at many high profile events including the official 2010 Olympic Torch ceremony, the Hilton Hotel Shriner’s Christmas party, “KISS” radio studio show (live broadcast), the 4 Seasons Hotel Christmas event, the Burnaby School Board Trustees, several Canadian citizenship ceremonies – just to name a few!
This year, we are looking forward to another exciting and productive year of choral singing at Marlborough.
