Family Literacy Day will be celebrated on January 27th
This day raises awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in various literacy-related activities as a family. This year’s theme is Celebrate your Heritage. We are fortunate to have such cultural diversity at Capitol Hill and Family Literacy Day is a wonderful opportunity to explore and learn about our own heritage and that of those around us.
Family Literacy BINGO cards will be sent home soon. Students, along with a family member, are encouraged to complete a line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) of literacy activities. Have your child return their finished BINGO cards to the library by Friday, February 3rd for a chance to win a prize! One primary and one intermediate draw will take place on Monday, February 6th. Have fun reading together!
