Eligibility Requirements:
- must have participated in a leadership role in community and school service work or volunteer activities.
- must have a cumulative high school grade point percentage of at least 65%
- must reside within the province of British Columbia
- must plan to enroll, for the first time, beginning in the fall, a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited post secondary institution or vocational technical school
- must have made exceptional contributions to both school and community service, initiating community development, leadership, affecting positive change, mentoring others, and/or personal development and growth
Application Requirements:
- 600 word double spaced essay describing applicant’s community involvement, highlighting great achievement(s)
- A letter of reference describing the impact of his/her involvement
- Up to date copy of high school transcript
Taking the time to do something for others during difficult times in one’s own life requires particularly outstanding commitment. This is why, as part of the selection process, the personal circumstances and/or challenges of each applicant will be considered. Applicants who possess personal qualities such as dedication, commitment to helping others and strength of character will also be considered.
