Adding an Equation to Word or Canvas

Click here for a video on how to insert a math equation into Word.The Steps:If you need to use an equation, add or write it in Word.

  1. Select Insert > Equation or press Alt + =.
  2. To use a built-in formula, select Design > Equation.
  3. To create your own, select Insert > Equation > Insert New Equation.
  4. Use your finger, stylus, or mouse to write your equation.
  5. Select Insert to bring your equation into the file.

For Canva

  1. From the editor side panel, click Apps.
  2. Type Equations (beta) on the search box and press Enter on your keyboard.
  3. Select the Equations (beta) app.
  4. Enter your equation on the box and use any of the quick buttons and symbol sets.
  5. Click the box next to Color to customize your equation’s color. You can use a color picker or manually enter a hex color code.
  6. Select Insert equation to add your equation to your design.
