As many of you know, I have a theme to my Halloween costumes. I always dress up as a book character, usually a popular picture book character. So far, at Seaforth, I’ve been Chester, Fancy Nancy, Pete the Cat, and this Halloween, I was Olivia from Ian Falconer’s books. I am always thrilled to see students dressed up as book characters, too. This year, a student dressed up as Pippi Longstocking. If you don’t know the book character, Pippi Longstocking, I suggest you read her books by Astrid Lindgren. They old books but the stories are intriguing and hilarious. Intriguing because Pippi lives by herself with her pet horse. Hilarious because she has some fun escapades.
