Last Monday morning, Seaforth had an assembly to launch Kindness Month which will end on Pink Shirt Day. Last week, I read two books to some of the primary classes which focussed on kindness and generosity. The two books were two of my favourites, The Teddy Bear by David McPhail and Lily and the Paper Man by Rebecca Upjohn. Two humourous chapter books which delve into the topic of kindness, and are good reads for grade 2s and 3s are Angels, Inc. by Bruce McBay, a retired Burnaby teacher and Three Good Deeds by Vivian Vande Velde. Nothing gets a message across better than a good story!
