The Confratellanza Italo-Canadese was founded in 1904 and is committed to the preservation of Italian cultural heritage and contributing to the enrichment of the multicultural community in the Greater Vancouver area. This year the association is offering several $1,500 scholarships to assist students in their post-secondary studies.

The winner will be required to provide his/her photograph and agree to allow it and a related news release to be circulated and publicized. The winner will also be required to attend, as a guest, the Confratellanza’s Christopher Columbus banquet at the Italian Cultural Centre in October 2016.

Attention All Grade 12 BC Athletes. The BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum invites nominations for its Twenty-first Annual JACK FARLEY YOUTH SPORTS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
The awards will go to one outstanding male and one outstanding female amateur athlete graduating from a BC secondary school, who is involved in either community or school sports. Each winner will receive $2,000 towards their education at a British Columbia post secondary institution.
Should the winner elect to pursue post-secondary education outside the province, the financial component of the award will not be issued; however, if the winner enrolls at a BC post-secondary institution within 24 months of graduation from Grade 12, he or she will be eligible to receive the funds.

Through generous donations from the television community in Canada, Super Scholarship Society have successfully raised funds to send outstanding youth of South Asian origin, living in Canada, who wish to pursue an education in media or arts, to a Canadian university or qualified post-secondary institute. Super Scholarship Society is pleased to offer two $1,400 scholarships for students of South Asian heritage pursuing post-secondary education in media or the arts in 2016.
The aim of the SSS scholarship program is to support the development of Canada’s
future creative professionals by assisting with the pre-professional training of
outstanding students. Awards will be made based on passion, talent and future goals,
as well as financial need.

The Betty Spalton Trust Fund was established in 1999 to provide financial support to individuals obtaining an education in fields associated with the road building and heavy construction industry. As one of the goals of this fund is to encourage diversity in the industry, preference is given to females and/or members of minority groups. The fund honours Betty Spalton, an industry and Association leader who died after a brief illness in 1999.
The Betty Spalton Education Fund is a merit-based scholarship, awarding the successful candidate $1,500 for study and living expenses.
